Halloween 2008!

We had our ward party and trunk or treat on the 25th, the kids had lots of fun! There were games and then a little parade, then we headed outside for the candy! Everyone decorated their trunks it was really cute, Yaw turned on some halloween music in our car to go along with the decorations. The kids had lots of fun and were all sugared out by the time we left that night. On Halloween night we got all dressed up and went to a few houses, then headed home because it started raining, and the kids wanted to pass out candy.

Ice Cream Social 50's Day!
Jaya's school had a 50's day and Ice cream social in the evening. There were alot of fun little things for the kids to do, she's been talking about this for weeks! All day she would ask me about things they did in the 50's, then she said "I should just call Grandma she'd know."
For quite a while after this day she would get the 50's and the 80's mixed up and she would see something or hear a song and say " yeah this is probably from the 80's!" That morning when I put her sweater on her, she said " this is good Grandma has one like this!" So Grandma I guess this day was a tribute to you!
Oh and I cannot forget Koby I got him all ready, I tried to put jeans on him but he insisted he wear his green pants! So I got him dressed and tried to slick back those curls. He went and lookes in the mirror and said "Mom everbody's gonna say lookin' good man, lookin' good man!" I must say they all looked pretty cute! Even Yaw who was such a good sport and dressed up also!Monday, September 1, 2008
Blogging Woes
Well figuring out all this blog stuff has been quite interesting and frustrating at times, as you all can see I'm completely out of order and way behind. I'm going to just catch up real quick with words. After Jaya's birthday back on July 31st, there has been sOoO much going on. Koby started preschool 2 days a week and he loves it, he was so excited and the way he says his teachers name is so cute! (Mrs. Mallory)
On August 11th we celebrated Leah's BIG 1st birthday! Wow how time flies she's runnin' around and acting like she's 2! She is such a climber and she gets into everything.
August 14th our friend Nana came to visit, we had lots of fun having him here. On saturday we went to the state fair, Jaya played a game and won a tiger stuffed animal. Koby and Yaw loved the roller coaster, Jaya not so much! It was a Fun Day!! Sunday, the plan was to go to San Fransisco after church. But Leah decided she wanted Nana to spend part of his vacation in the emergency room. She was in our living room and fell and hit her head on the corner of the couch. She had to get 2 stitches in her eyebrow. So on monday our friend came over to watch the kids so Abu and I could take Nana to S.F. Wow we had a fun filled day. When we first got there we found our usual parking lot and walked straight to the crab station that Abu and went to about 5 years ago. Since we have moved to California have visited that same crab station often. Next we walked down to the spot we like to sit and eat our crab and watch the bush man. A little S.F. joke. I can't give it away, but if you've been there you'll know. Then we walked to China town, Nana was not all that impressed. Then we headed back down to get the car to go to a few more places. Next we headed to Lombard street (the crooked street) and on the way made a few stops to take some more beautiful pics of the pier with all the boats. Last on our list of adventures was the Golden Gate bridge. We were there for a while taking pictures it's so beautiful! We were so lucky to have good weather this day, because as you know S.F. can get quite chilly! And at this we headed back home to the kiddos, we had such a fun day and took so many GreAt pictures!
So now let me tell you all my devestating news, like an hour after we got home I was going through my pictures on my camera, playing with settings. And before I knew what was happening, within seconds. All of those events I just described were GONE!!! Somehow I erased my whole SD card. I was so sad I was crying, Abu didn't know what to do. So Nana has a few pictures on his camera, so when he sends those I will post them. But as for Koby's first day of school, Leah's birthday, stitches pics, all gone! Oh well what can you do.
On August 25th Yaw started school and he also was so excited, to finally get out of the house and make some friends. I'm glad that all of my children are loving their schools and teachers. So that leaves just Leah and I at home 2 days a week to hang out and do some bonding. It's so nice to have that break a couple times a week!
On August 26th Abu made a quick trip to SLC and took Leah to hang out with Grandma and Opa! Grandma took Leah to the Thanksgiving Point petting Zoo with Aunt Kayleen, Emily and Carter. I guess Leah was a little bit scared of the animals. But of course Grandma wore Leah out. They arrived at 10:30 and Leah was sleeping she slept all through the night, she was exhausted! Thankyou Grandma for a FuN day!
